Hello Everyone! I have two announcements for today.
The first, as many of you may have guessed, is that there is no class this week do to your spring break.
The second announcement is a little more personal, but I’m very excited. I just received word that I will be working in Japan starting this August! I won’t know where I’m working until next month, but I know I will be teaching English at a high school or middle school. So now you guys have a job: please help me learn to be a good teacher!
Well, that’s it for this week. Next Sunday I’ll have another announcement about class. I’m looking forward to coming back!
Here is a great resource I found for practicing Japanese characters like Hiragana and Katakana: http://www.msu.edu/~lakejess/kanjigame.html
Also, here is a page about displaying and using Japanese on your computer: http://www.kanzaki.com/jinfo/japanese.html
You will need to make sure you can see Japanese characters before you can study with the game in the first link.

Please leave comments on this post about what you want to do next time. If you check the blog, I will be writing a post every Sunday with announcements for the next meeting. I’ll try to start adding other content, as well, such as profiles of historical characters, photos of Japan, and more! This is your club, so please let me know what you’d like to do!
Also, here’s today’s extra vocab word: 映画 (えいが), eiga. This means “movie.”
